SPIRITUAL GIFTS - WHAT ARE THEY?

Spiritual gifts are special abilities provided by God’s Holy Spirit to Christians for the purpose of serving others and building His Church. You can read about spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:7-10, Ephesians 4:7-13, and Romans 12:4-8. Spiritual gifts are simply God enabling His followers to do what He has called us to do. When we take the time to discover our spiritual gifts and then put them to good use we are fulfilling His purpose for our lives.

SO WHAT’S NEXT?

1. The first step is to pray. Pray for God’s guidance and ask Him to use you for His purposes. Ask Him to open your eyes and ears to His purpose for your life. Whatever God calls you to do, be confident that He will provide a way for it.

2. Discover your gifts.  We encourage you to take the Spiritual Gifts Test (below), and then talk it over with someone to assist you in discovering your gifts. Try serving in different ministries to see what fits and how you can glorify God in your gifts. Don’t be afraid of what He will do with you. Step out in faith and let Him use you. The rewards will be great.
